While wordsmithing can result in greater shared understanding and improved messaging, it can also be a pitfall if it becomes a distraction from moving forward with a dynamic (changeable) plan. The focus should be on the mission and vision, the ongoing process of visioning, and the strategies and goals for achieving that mission and vision, not on getting the words, sentences, and paragraphs exactly right.
